The Blisters are two twin diesels who work on the Arlesdale Railway. They are called "the blisters" because of the problems they face when trying to start in cold weather.

The two were built in Dursley, England at the R.A. Lister Works in 1932. They arrived when the Arlesdale Railway was in the process of construction. They were rebuilt with two 2-cylinder 12 h.p. Lister engines to make them able to run on 15-inch gauge track. They were repainted and fitted with a new cab and bonnet. In 1989, they were refitted with two 20 h.p. Lister engines for improvement in their performance. Both have electrics, radios and air brake systems for light passenger trains in emergencies. They are mainly used for maintenance and shunting duties.

They are based on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway's Cyril

They are both painted black with wasp style stripes on front and behind.
