Consequences Taking Care of Christmas

Cold Reception is the fifteenth episode of Season 1 of Sodor: The Modern Years. It is the seventy-ninth episode overall.

The Arlesdale Railway is hosting a Christmas charity gala for local businesses. All the engines are busy preparing for it, and Olivia is especially excited. However, when she meets Jane Albworth, the daughter of Sir Walter Albworth, she is outraged. Olivia, and her friend Jake, had worked on an estate railway run by Sir Walter Albworth. Jane convinced her brother, Andrew, to sell the two engines only a fortnight after Sir Walter had passed. Olivia is sour towards Jane, but when she realises Jane had come to help with the gala, and donate a lot of money from her bank, Olivia sees she has changed. Jane apologises for selling her and Jake, and Olivia also manages an apology for being sour. It starts to snow the night before the gala, leaving white flakes on the ground. The gala was a great success.

  • Stock footage from Rough Start is used.
  • This is the first episode where Generations113 voices Bert.
