Endgame is the eighteenth episode of Season 2 of Sodor: The Modern Years, and the season finale.
Plot
Diesel talks to the Fat Controller about methods of stopping Hopper 006, however she needs solid evidence that it is this truck that is causing the issues. However, he seems to be covering a lot of his tracks, so they'd need to work hard to catch him.
Diesel shunts Toad in the brake van siding in the yards, and explains that he is going to add an iPad to record the train, to get evidence that Hopper 006 is up to trouble. On Douglas' run up to Arlesburgh, Hopper 006 causes the last part of the train to break away, resulting in him jumping the rails and rolling into an embankment (unbeknownst to Douglas).
At Arlesburgh, Blister I points out that Douglas is missing a hopper, and Toad explains Diesel's plan to Douglas. James is called to rescue the hopper from the embankment, where he is soon made use into a waste truck, moving from the steamworks to the mainland carrying waste materials. Diesel is rewarded for his actions with a new name, Damien. Duck thanks Diesel for his help, and the two finally lay their demons to rest.
