Little Western is the eighth episode of Season 1.
Plot
Oliver and Duck are in the sheds when Bertie drops off a passenger called Charlie Stewart whose brother, Andy, had been rescued by Oliver. Oliver explains that he met Thomas, Annie and Clarabel at Elsbridge on his way to Knapford Sheds, when Thomas' driver explains an accident at the quarry has injured several workmen. Bertie is nearby, and the three race to the quarry. Toby and Percy are trapped and inform the engines of the situation. Harold is on site ready for the men to be transported to hospital.
At Knapford, Oliver speaks to The Fat Controller about the emergency and the he praises him for his bravery before sending Oliver to take a passenger train on The Little Western. Shortly afterwards, Oliver is introduced to the other engines at Knapford Sheds.
