Henry's Forest is an adaptation of the magazine story by Andrew Brenner. It would have appeared in Season 4 of Sodor: The Early Years but was delayed.

It will appear as Part 4 of Henry the Green Five.

Plot

Following the re-opening of the Kirk Ronan branch and scheduling of Eric's trains, Henry finds that one of his goods trains now has to wait at a signal just outside the forest, in order to allow one of Eric's trains pass.

Henry likes to stop at the forest, as he likes it there, so he asks the Fat Controller if he can stop at the previous signal, which is among the trees.

A few weeks later, Henry is horrified to see loggers cutting down a section of the forest, with Bear's help.  In the sheds that night, Bear tries to explain but Henry refuses to listen.

The next morning, Henry is deliberately delayed by Diesel for a few minutes, to see Bear bringing in a train of saplings. Henry is delighted, and Bear explains that the section that was logged had been specially planted, and these trees are to replace them. He also tells Henry that a plantation near Brendam will be the source of all future timber, so no more of the forest will be cut down.

Characters

A signalman speaks as well.
