Henry Sees Red is the seventeenth episode of Season 3, and the thirty-fifth episode overall.
James went out of the sheds to collect his first train and happy with Alfred that the 1923 incident was over. Alfred was next to collect his slow goods train, but the turntable was jammed causing the workmen to repair it and Henry having to take the express. The undercoat was put on by workmen making Henry feeling very embarrassed indeed. An emergency which was the turntable breaking down was made and Henry arrived at Knapford to take the express to Barrow-in-Furness. The Fat Controller was there and told him about the sticky situation, even James said about the red paint. The train left Knapford and headed for Barrow with some near problems with the train including Gordon's Hill and believes his injector is failing since Super Rescue. At Barrow-in-Furness, Henry met Patrick and talked about the engine shortage. The Fat Controller said to Henry he did a fantastic job but with the turntable repaired, Henry was turned around on a British Railways turntable and returned to his undercoating measures.
