The Season 5 Intro Demo is a forty-two second video where WildNorWester has re-made the opening sequence with a few engines appearing in it and the first episode is due to air on Friday the 2nd of August 2013.
Around a bend, Thomas with Annie and Clarabel are passing the camera going west while Percy goes east with a goods train near the signal which is clear for Thomas to pass through. At Crovan's Gate that was seen in Back on Track, Alice leaves with her express train on the right as James passes by with a goods train heading north. Peter Sam can be seen waiting at the narrow-gauge railway's main terminus as the main title is shown. On the viaduct, Gordon takes the express to the west as Henry heads the Flying Kipper east. The words shown here are "Based on the Railway Series by Rev. W. Awdry" in front of both the water and valley on the left side of the viaduct. At a bridge on Edward's Branch Line, Edward heads a passenger train to the left as BoCo heads right with a train of China clay. The episode's title and number is shown here.
Toby with Henrietta leaves towards the camera as Mavis with an empty stone train awaits at a water tower. During this, the voice actor's name and character is first shown here. On the Arlesdale Railway, Rex heads a passenger train to the east as both Duck and Douglas meet each other at the railway's chute. On a give-way track, Oliver with Isabel and Dulcie wait for Donald as he takes a goods train right up to the north on The Little Western and finally, Diesel reverses with a short goods to Knapford Yards as both Bear and Patrick head out of the yard with their freight trains for the UK. The last words shown here are "Directed by WildNorWester" and the episode begins after the sequence has finished.

- Three engines are now added to the Season 5 opening sequence. They are Rex and Jock from the Arlesdale Railway and Patrick from the NWR.
