Constable Hastings is an officer representing the police force on the Island of Sodor who looks out for anyone caught doing the wrong thing and is breaking the law when they commit an offence to the general public.
Bio[]
Hastings helped in the case of a missing woman named Emma Chesterton. He talked to Edward about her, and the fact that she hasn't been seen for a few days. He makes a cameo in the twenty-fifth episode, Comfort Zone and in Bad Apple, he stopped Diesel for going up the quarry line without a cowcatcher or sideplates.
In A Stranger in Need, the yard master at Elsbridge introduced Toby to Sergeant Jerry Halford. He told the tram engine about an alleged hit-and-run which left a seventeen year old girl in a shocked condition, and needed the description of the car that hit her. Sergeant Halford later joined two police officers in chasing and later arresting the accomplices at Ffarquhar with Percy's help.
He made a cameo appearance in the eleventh Sodor: The Modern Years episode, Aftermath. He also made cameo appearances in Percy's Post and the feature-length special, Winds of Change.
